Tokyo reports 378 new coronavirus cases; nationwide tally 1,445

The Tokyo metropolitan government on Wednesday reported 378 new cases of the coronavirus, up 28 from Tuesday.

The number (194 men and 184 women) is the result of 1,717 tests conducted on Feb 14.

The most number of cases were 74 people in their 30s, followed by 66 in their 20s, 52 in their 50s, 51 in their 40s, 35 in their 80s, 32 in their 60s and 30 in their 70s. Thirty cases were aged 20 or younger.

The number of infected people hospitalized with severe symptoms in Tokyo is 87, down five from Tuesday, health officials said. The nationwide figure is 607.

Nationwide, the number of reported cases was 1,445. After Tokyo, the prefectures with the most cases were Osaka (133), Chiba (130), Saitama (130), Kanagawa (115), Aichi (81), Hyogo (74), Fukuoka (65), Hokkaido (64), Shizuoka (32) and Gunma (28).

The number of coronavirus-related deaths reported nationwide was 79.

doesnt matter, number of hospitalized with severe symptoms going down. All u need to know,. Oh, and that numbers are rapidly declining in other countries as well. Some posters here don’t like to hear that but it’s true.

We just passed the flu season of 2020, the weak and old got seriously sick, everybody else totally unscathed.

Not testing is bad. But the attached one is far worse than non-testing.
