Well, I shall watch these sprint sessions with interest. I can see several scenarios, but without trying something first, I guess we'll never find out.

Of course the first and foremost reason that F1 dropped out of popular consciousness was the decision to hide it behind a pay wall. Millions of enthusiastic fans (who might even have seen the billboards there and other forms of advertising), were shut out and drifted away. However often the committee subsequently remixed the ingredients and baked this cake it never tasted quite the same again.

These points that they propose to award the finishers do not sound exactly... generous. Quote: "The top three finishers will also receive points toward the championship. The first place will receive three points, second place two points, and third place one point." Gosh!

How about increasing the points a jiffy and giving them to the five or even seven top finishing drivers?
