Awesome. I clean the river bank near me in once or twice a month. It’s sad that so many Japanese people litter.

What does that even mean?

What does that even mean?

plastics don’t just dry up and melt away like paper or even after a long time, cans. Our trash stays with us now. They stick around. They float around the oceans creating islands with their own ecosystem and will be around for hundreds and hundreds of years until we realize how not to be so trashy with our house. No human as of yet has had they power or influence to really do any common sense solutions, especially in these corporate controlled times. You wanna example? OK, ban poly / nylon fishing nets. Use only biodegradable material, since these nets make up more than 50% of the floating plastics islands.

Sorry if it’s still not clear.

And now, where is the positive effect for us? That garbage is not away, but brought back to land and contaminating us again. That’s just only friendly fire against the own kind, therefore the demerits bigger than the advantages. Of course, we all love those sea animals, but if in a final doubt I love similar human beings including myself quite a bit more.

Fair enough, sensible enough, but none of that was clear from your original post.

Sad when we destroy and disrespect that which gives us life. Microplastics are now being found in human lungs, which causes damage.
