"At this point, the people that haven't been vaccinated is certainly not because a lack of supply or a lack of availability," he added.

Lots of people ignoring Big Pharma's vaccine sales pitch.

I agree, trust nature, not Big Pharma.

So you mean people should just get sick and die? That's an "interesting" point of view.

So you mean people should just get sick and die? That's an "interesting" point of view.

It is depressing how many people want this and care not one wit for their fellow humans.

"This isn't for the protection of Floridians," he said. "This is for politics -- and that's not what it's supposed to be."

It’s about climbing the ladder on the backs of people tricked into believing fighting for “mah rights”. Darwinism not socialism will hurt Florida.

Herd immunity. It takes 10 years to test vaccines, we don’t have time.

Herd immunity.

Herd immunity without vaccines means a LOT of people die.

It takes 10 years to test vaccines,

No it doesnt.

Floridaman!

If you dont like it, there are plenty of other states for you to live/visit.

DeSantis is a rising star for freedom, love this guy, finally someone with basic common sense snd someone that won’t allow the whispering little liberal voices to get inside his head.

Less than half of the residents have been fully vaccinated. Then there are the anti-vexxers.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

its great to see a place where people can decide what they put into their own bodies without government mandate. I would expect there will always be 30-40% of people who are not vaccinated for some reason or another.

Well, until the government tries to say you cant ride a plane or enter a store or go to a game or concert without proof of vaccination.

Nothing's changed, Ron. Some people are prolonging the death and destruction by refusing to get vaccinated and refusing to follow safety standards. Others are getting vaccinated and following safety standards and doing their part to save lives and get things open.

Rights and freedom have nothing to do with anything.

or I can just live in Florida. and you can pick whichever locked down state you like.

See how easy that is?

If that happens and you don't like it, there are plenty of other countries for you to live/visit.

or I can just live in Florida

And I wholeheartedly support your decision to live in the bayou and never travel anywhere because most developped countries in the rest of the world will require a vaccine passport! Have fun in Florida.

Florida Gov Ron DeSantis on Monday lifted all COVID-19 restrictions in the state, citing the effectiveness and availability of vaccines, in a move that attracted criticism from Democratic mayors.

DeSantis added; "And next week we'll be getting rid of all those other pesky restrictions to our freedom, like seat belts, hard hats, life preservers, and hurricane warning sirens...

nope, actually not. no vaccine passports for USA.

They are discriminatory, as people of color cant get them easily.

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-56657194

The White House has ruled out introducing mandatory federal Covid-19 vaccination passports, saying citizens' privacy and rights should be protected.

Schemes to introduce such passports have been touted around the world as a way to enable safe circulation of people while fighting the pandemic.

But critics say such documents could be discriminatory.

The US said it did not and would not support a "system that requires Americans to carry a credential".

Floridaman for the win!

Biden administration has no plans for vaccine passport

BY C-SPAN APRIL 9, 2021, 10:18 AM

White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki when asked about vaccine passports at a press conference April, 6, 2021: “There will be no federal vaccinations database and no federal mandate requiring everyone to obtain a single vaccination credential.”

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

They are discriminatory, as people of color cant get them easily.

That is not what the article says at all. What are you talking about?

1 ( +2 / -1 )

People of color are unable to even get an ID to use to vote, I hear. So how can we get vaccine passports?

The article says "discriminatory", so if its not against people of color, how is a vaccine passport discriminatory and against who?

But critics say such documents could be discriminatory.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

Less than half of the residents have been fully vaccinated. Then there are the anti-vexxers.

If that's what they want, let them. Like Tucker said today, made a good point, the majority of people that don't want to get vaccinated are not anti-vaxxers, they/we have a right to ask legitimate questions about a drug that has had some problems with side effects on some women's reproductive systems and other small health setbacks, all of our bodies are different and the vaccine effects us in different ways and we have the absolute right to say, "hold up!" Let me do some research first to double and triple check and make sure before you stick me with that needle because I enjoy living and I don't want to risk it, we all have that right and if we just comply, how will that look in the future with everything else? If they can force everyone to take this vaccine that is against our will then where does this all stop? It's good to be skeptical.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

Some people are prolonging the death and destruction by refusing to get vaccinated and refusing to follow safety standards.

According to Fauci, the CDC funded by China and the people that want you to wear two masks....hmmm....nope.

Others are getting vaccinated and following safety standards and doing their part to save lives and get things open.

Florida and Texas are open, the Blue States need to catch up otherwise they won't have anyone left in their State.

Rights and freedom have nothing to do with anything.

Oh, yes they do! Liberals and the government will not force me to put anything in my body that I don't want and you won't force me to wear a mask if I don't want-period.

People of color are unable to even get an ID to use to vote, I hear. So how can we get vaccine passports?

Do you think a "vaccine passport" is like a real passport? With a picture and stamps in it? "Vaccine passport" is a concept that in effect means either a simple sheet of paper that says you were vaccinated, or a QR code on your phone. People's color has absolutely nothing to do with it. You get vaccinated, you get your certificate (=passport), that's it.

The article says "discriminatory", so if its not against people of color, how is a vaccine passport discriminatory and against who?

Against people who don't vaccinate.

Are you under the impression that the word "discrimination" necessarily implies "against people of color"?!?

2 ( +2 / -0 )

So the White House is concerned about discrimination towards.... people who dont vaccinate?

that would be highly unlikely that they would be concerned about such discrimination. As they want everyone to be vaccinated. Unless they know the whole vaccine passport thing will be found unconstitutional in the end if they tried it.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

The President of the United States said the same thing.

No he didn't. The president of the United States never said that "people of color are less likely to understand QR technology". Bu then again, the actual president of the United States isn't a troll on an internet comment board. And if you don't get moderated for that, then it's time to go do something more productive with my time!

Blacklabel: or I can just live in Florida

Have fun rowing your boat to the US, then driving to Florida. Because you aren't getting on a plane.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

I agree, trust nature, not Big Pharma.

Its called science. That you don’t want to accept it, domes the make it untrue.

And you aren’t making much of a case for living in Florida.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Florida is great. love the people there!

and I can in fact take a plane there any time I want, as there is no vaccine passport requirement in the USA. per the Biden White House statement. Or was he not being truthful when he announced that?

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

Because you aren't getting on a plane.

Exactly...I'm going to laugh my way to the free seating row with all the Trump/Tucker people refusing to get a vaccine then being refused a seat. That's good for me. Ok Tucker/Trump people! Continue with your freedom movement with Tucker & Trumpas your leader (and you do understand that Tucker and Trump can afford taking private jets, right?). And I get to fly safely and at ease with no anti vaccine Tucker/Trump people in my flight. Yes Trump/Tucker people!! You win the debate while I get my free row of seats on the airplane. Sounds like a fair deal to me. Yes! These Hillary vaccines with Microchips are bad. PLEASE!! Keep thinking that

Flying to Florida does require a covid test. You will need another one to fly back to Japan and agree to the quarantine too.

"As of January 26, 2021, the US government is requiring all air travelers arriving in the United States from other countries to get tested for COVID-19 no more than 3 days before their flight departs and to present the negative test result or documentation showing that the individual has recovered from COVID-19 to the ..."

Which is easily done and a PCR test is not a “vaccine passport”

Blacklabel

Which is easily done and a PCR test is not a “vaccine passport”

Some airlines/countries in the near future may require vaccinations to enter?

"Vaccine passport" is the wrong name.

Here in Japan when you have vaccinated the first jab then the second jab you have a small certificate showing you have been vaccinated. That should be enough.

I think a test/vaccine certificate is enough.
