Hahahahahaha! Trump and Trump republicans turned Georgia blue. How incompetent and repugnant do you have to be to turn Georgia blue?

23 ( +27 / -4 )

No one to blame but themselves. The American right are just so stupid.

16 ( +21 / -5 )

No one to blame but themselves. The American right are just so stupid.

There is a huge gap in education between the right and the left in the US.

14 ( +20 / -6 )

What's going to happen to Mitch McConnell? Will Ted Cruz and other R's who supported Trump's failed coup be investigated for their roles in this attempt at a putsch? LOCK THEM UP!!!

12 ( +17 / -5 )

Hats off to those voters in Georgia who came out to vote despite Trump and his fellow Republicans messages that elections are rigged. Hopefully the new DOJ will investigate Trump and those who supported his coup attempt, and if they've been found to have broken any laws they will be prosecuted. For all their crimes.

13 ( +16 / -3 )

This is why the Republicans want to suppress the vote because common sense eventually prevails!

Congrats, Ossoff and Warnock! I am glad the two criminals Perdue and Loeffler like the biggest criminal trump were all voted out of office!

13 ( +16 / -3 )

Now to get started, end the filibuster, stack the courts, DC statehood.

14 ( +17 / -3 )

Hahaha!

Reality won’t hit hit those too deluded to see it, but it’s finally game over for your bs.

11 ( +13 / -2 )

Bye, bye Mitch! Finally the self-professed grim reaper of bills has been sent his marching orders. He protected republicans from having to vote on bills and declaring where they stand to their constituents. Well, no more. Finally bills will be able to be debated again.

18 ( +20 / -2 )

Klansman's nightmare ; )

14 ( +16 / -2 )

Karma always comes back right at your door GOP.

13 ( +15 / -2 )

Wild stuff!

9 ( +11 / -2 )

Trump told people their votes didn't count and attacked Georgian Republicans. He is responsible that the Senate has been handed to the Democrats.

11 ( +13 / -2 )

Republicans beaten by Black and Jewish candidates in Georgia. What a beautiful day to counter the ugliness in DC.

Republican has always been defined by self serving greed and morals for sale. trump was a Democrat once, Lindsey Graham and Cruz both opposed trump until it wasn’t in their greed interests, trump threw all his supporters under the bus even Pence. No integrity.

Let some people with a care for something other than themselves take over.

13 ( +16 / -3 )

About time! Congrats to the new Dem. Senators! Hoping for much better times to come!

9 ( +12 / -3 )

A good news antidote to the mob madness happening in Washington.

Republicans beaten by Black and Jewish candidates in Georgia.

Yeah, I hope the Republicans choke on it.

13 ( +15 / -2 )

Oooh I forgot to give a big “Thank You” to Lin Wood and trump for retweeting his craziness. It was certainly a big help in the win.

11 ( +13 / -2 )

Next target: Texas. Once that state goes blue, it's all over. Lock, stock and barrel.

The filth-ridden GOP will be shut out of national politics for decades. Or maybe it'll go out of business like the the buggy whip industry: time has passed it by.

11 ( +14 / -3 )

Next target: Texas. Once that state goes blue, it's all over. Lock, stock and barrel.

By 2024 enough Texans should be able to reach the conclusion the Cruz faction of wack R's have been using them while Cruz and his corporate backers get richer.

BEAUTIFUL !!!...

It's a GREAT Day for Democracy & America

God Bless You Georgia & @staceyabrams

You saved the USA !!..

*It's official, the Make America Great Again cult is defeated, AGAIN !!..

*The GOP let a fake billionaire with a fake tv show, a fake tan, fake hair, fake kids & a fake wife, break their entire party.. For real..

*The guy who bankrupted a casino also managed to lose the House, Senate, and White House.

*Trump's lasting legacy: GOP lost the house, senate, and presidency in 4 years.

*A Black man who preaches from MLK's pulpit, (Warnock), just beat the worst of the racist Karens.

*How do you spell lost in French??.. PERDUE !!.. LOOOOOOOL !!..

*RIP MAGA

13 ( +16 / -3 )

Congratulations to the winners of the runoff in Georgia!!

Please tell your racist followers, Donald, to not riot with their feeble brains, the guns are scary and the people elected winning administration of Biden, the Democrat held senate and the Democrat held Congress protecting democracy will fight your fascist sedition right wing jerks.

11 ( +13 / -2 )

Hahahahahaha! Trump and Trump republicans turned Georgia blue. How incompetent and repugnant do you have to be to turn Georgia blue?

Well, thank God the pendulum swings both ways. The Dems won, ok, but given their corrosive policies are now more radical than ever in history I would say, thinks should revert back to normalcy within two years as the GOP retake the House and then watch the Senate go back again.

-29 ( +4 / -33 )

Man, am I glad Mitch McConnell is no longer majority leader!!!

15 ( +16 / -1 )

Beautiful. Ha ha, just beautiful. x Told it as this, the diabolical extremism of Trump is dead.

10 ( +12 / -2 )

Thanks, Trump!

12 ( +14 / -2 )

Personally, not a big fan of Mitch or the Republicans, could care less if he’s in power or not, but now the Dems can do what they want and given their thirst for absolute greed and control for power first over policy I see and EXACT repeat of what happened back in 2009 when they carried the majority of all 3 branches and you’re already seeing signs of this parade being short lived, at for 2 years and reality of their already slim majority will be their worst nightmare, so party like it’s 1999.

-23 ( +4 / -27 )

should revert back to normalcy within two years as the GOP retake the House and then watch the Senate go back again.

With all your supporter riots promoting fascism and sedition, there's no way people in America will support these actions. In the next couple of years, the ridiculousness of Trump's reign of terror will be further exposed, as will the lies of the right wing and its false state networks, spewing autocratic hope of a single racist state.

The American people will further remove itself from the GOP, because even the GOP has no idea what it is, as a few, like Romney are being looked at the enemy by the current goons in control. Is the GOP just a bunch of liars, or does it have a platform? No one knows, because Trump's GOP is false equivalence of what the GOP actually stands for, so Republicans are confused by their lack of integrity and ability to critical think.

The pipe dream the GOP will control the house and then the senate again, which used to be normalcy in America, very well will not happen.

10 ( +11 / -1 )

@bass4funk

their already slim majority

The exact same margin was a ‘landslide’ when Trump won.

15 ( +16 / -1 )

Then the GOP are in very good standing for the next 2 years.

Not after today.

13 ( +14 / -1 )

One party rule never works out well. I'm no friend of Republicans, but to give carte blanche to the Democrats is also a recipe for disaster.

-9 ( +2 / -11 )

That’s exactly, I’m not a fan of either party but Dems thinking that it’s going to be a smooth sail and no political consequence for rubber stamping everything just won’t fly for very long.

-24 ( +2 / -26 )

Trump's illicit conversations and lippy sass has backfired. This is a major spanking for him.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

Dems thinking that it’s going to be a smooth sail and no political consequence for rubber stamping

That's not at all how the Democratic thought process works. It isn't binary and it isn't smooth or easy, and decisions do have consequences. But decisions are made with a plan and critical thought, something the previous losing administration did not understand or implement.

That’s exactly, I’m not a fan of either party but Dems thinking that it’s going to be a smooth sail and no political consequence for rubber stamping everything just won’t fly for very long.

What happened today has shown Trump's loyalty and value. He doesn't value fellow Republicans! He should be removed from office now. I don't care if he has 14 days left. He doesn't deserve a single day in the WH. Period. He is not a Republican but a fascist piece of crap.

14 ( +14 / -0 )

They haven’t sadly through the years that’s why Democrats historically relied on the SC to pass a lot of their agenda that didn’t get through Congress and since the SC tilted now right. The Dems, because of this threatened to pack the courts, basically changing the makeup of the courts which hasn’t been changed in over 150 years, even RBG was concerned with packing the court and was against it, her thinking was well thought out. But now, the Dems can do whatever they want because now we have a one party majority so what’s to stop them?

-21 ( +2 / -23 )

Haaa NemuiToday  08:44 am JST

Then the GOP are in very good standing for the next 2 years.

Not after today.

Trump's treasonous actions have changed that. The only way for the GOP to continue on as a respectable party is to return to its original principals and cleanse itself of Trumpist elements, ALL of them.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

Bass:. I’m not a fan of either party.

Are you a fan of Donald Trump?

13 ( +14 / -1 )

Amazing outcome. No doubt if Trump could Tweet he would once again be claiming voter fraud.

bass4funk

Bang! There goes another of your prediction which you claimed the Senate election was a walk for the republicans.

Another smack in the face for Trump.

11 ( +12 / -1 )

I’m not a fan of either party

Yes, I've seen lots of Republicans and Trump enablers suddenly declaring that they're not fans.

I'm awaiting them to eventually say that they never trusted in/voted for Trump/Republican, next.

How odd.

Let's hope the Democrats can try to fix the US. Because it badly needs some TLC, right now.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

Trump's treasonous actions have changed that. The only way for the GOP to continue on as a respectable party is to return to its original principals and cleanse itself of Trumpist elements, ALL of them.

Exactly what I mean. Impeaching Trump now is basically offering an olive branch to the GOP. The Dems should really just let it go and watch the GOP wallow at the bottom of the swamp.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

bass4funkToday  07:53 am JST

The Dems won, ok, but given their corrosive policies are now more radical than ever in history

Which must be what the people want, because they now control Congress in spite of absurd vote value disparities and highly orchestrated GOP gerrymandering.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Are you a fan of Donald Trump?

Yes.

Yes, I've seen lots of Republicans and Trump enablers suddenly declaring that they're not fans.

Personally, I left the GOP almost 20 years ago, don’t like these people, but love being a proud conservative, like I said, I hope a 3rd party emerges from this.

-13 ( +1 / -14 )

Yes, I've seen lots of Republicans and Trump enablers suddenly declaring that they're not fans.

So much back pedalling it’s like watching the Tour de France on fast rewind.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

The failure is complete. Mobs of idiots believing Trump’s conspiracy theories won’t change that.

A disaster for the GOP and given how they bowed down to Trump, thoroughly deserved.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

This week’s elections mark the formal finale to the turbulent 2020 election season. The unusually high stakes transformed Georgia, once a solidly Republican state, into one of the nation’s premier battlegrounds for the final days of Trump’s presidency — and likely beyond.

Trump can point to one tremendous success of his Presidency:The destruction and delegitimization of the Republican Party.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Which must be what the people want, because they now control Congress in spite of absurd vote value disparities and highly orchestrated GOP gerrymandering.

Both sides Gerrymander, nothing new, so that’s a losing argument and the Dems have it all just like they did in 2009 and we all know what happened after that.

-16 ( +1 / -17 )

bass4funkToday  09:39 am JST

Both sides Gerrymander, nothing new,

I said "highly orchestrated" although I'm not surprised you failed to grasp the distinction. Have the Democrats ever set up anything like Project RedMap?

so that’s a losing argument

Given how many pointless arguments you have on this site and how few of them you seem to "win" in eyes of everyone except, presumably, yourself, I don't think your view on what constitutes a "losing argument" counts for a whole lot.

9 ( +10 / -1 )

Like a Super Bowl win. So long McConnell, your extremely partisan politics will most certainly not be missed. Black and Jewish getting elected in the Deep South at the same time shows the times are changing and that Trump needed a rebuke. Absolutely awesome results!

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Congratulations to both newly elected senators - I think if you compare and contrast Warnock and Loeffler - Warnock did not come from a wealthy family whereas Loeffler is minted - was not elected (appointed). Wanock's victory is exactly what the American dream should be - representative of aspirations of the average citizen - I'm sure Warnock would like to have been born with a silver spoon up his nose and have loads of stocks to sell off when it became apparent the market will be affected by COVID-19...as Loeffler did - but he rose to this occasion by his own initiative - Good for him

8 ( +8 / -0 )

It's amazing to see some right-wing fans jump the GOP ship and and still cling to reality TV star Donald Trump like he's the messiah. Because to all of us, it's just like they're proudly saying: "Normal republican politicians aren't uneducated and racist enough for me! I need more fascist policies!".

Well, Georgia just elected a black and a jewish congressman, so the rest of America just rebuffed you all in the most peaceful and definitive manner possible.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Ruby red Georgia becomes a blue state?! I didn’t think I would ever see that in my lifetime.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

peaceful and definitive manner possible

Democracy prevailed! Much to the chagrin of the anti-democracy, pro-authoritarians in the US and around the globe. THE PEOPLE - i.e. the majority -HAVE SPOKEN through the ballot box.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Lindsey Graham in 2016....

"If we elect Donald Trump, we will destroy our party"....

Nailed it then Lindsey...

What do you say today?

9 ( +9 / -0 )

Trump has single-handedly destroyed the Republican party. Ha!

10 ( +10 / -0 )

Great job in getting the most corrupt senators out of there. Perdue evaded debating against Ossoff, and Loeffler was never voted into her position by the people. Good to see the Senate being cleansed of the slime.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

A disaster it was, but thoroughly deserved, not really. Of course the GOP bowed down to Trump, for the first time there was a politician that listened to the people, unlike the other Presidents that didn’t have the pulse of the people and that’s on both sides.

He had ‘the pulse’ of a minority of voters.

After he won the presidency, the house went to the Democrats, he lost the presidential election and now the Republicans have lost the senate. You can add that the GOP is now in tatters.

That’s a total failure.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

Trump has single-handedly destroyed the Republican party. Ha!

I think the Republicans destroyed the Republican party. Their lies and deceit, like Cheney and co. knowingly do the first unilateral US attack for the wrong reasons and, of course, Nixon, among other problematic ideals, has led to the unhinged state of conservatives, deserved distrust by many Americans and a lack of control for truth in the right wing.

A group that will allow and want a fascist like state, as long as they make their money. They will say and do anything to keep their wrongs intact and try to con the country into believing by fear mongering, cherry picking and false narrative, they are patriots, of which they are not.

Trump is a terrible and egregious symptom, he is not the cause.

10 ( +10 / -0 )

Happy that Raphael Warnock won. Congratulations.

Not so happy about the other guy winning.

The Republican party will become a 3rd party as the Democrats get more and more moderate Republicans to join, since the liars in the current Rep party have been allowed to take over. I still don't understand how people claiming to be Christians can vote for such liars?

4 ( +4 / -0 )

At long last, Kentucky fried turtle with a dessert of revenge for the Dems served up "kremlin" cold 'cos they can now take the Moscow out of the Mitch and reinstall some decency into the US Senate.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Democrats win in Georgia state, republicans cry foul..

Already Trump's supporters are creating havoc in Washington, don't let the violence getting out of control. It is highly contagious and dangerous to the nation..

6 ( +7 / -1 )

This should have been the main news story today, not what is happening in Washington.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

This should have been the main news story today, not what is happening in Washington.

Were the US a properly functioning democratic republic it would be, but Trump, Cruz, Hawley etal - backed by their fellow wack right supporters in the US and around the globe - have messed the country up so badly that, unfortunately their failed armed attack got he banner.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Well, I guess that torpedoed your plan B, eh bass? This is what happens when you piss enough people off.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

On any other day this would have been the main news story especially with the first black person from Georgia elected to the senate.

Trump had hid again in the cookie jar and raised more than $250 million for his Save America PAC with $180 million going straight to him. Nothing spent in Georgia.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

In 4yrs Trump has given the Dems the house the presidency and now the senate, with the help of the GOP lol

reminds me of a song

ding dong the Mitch is dead the evil Mitch is dead

6 ( +6 / -0 )

thinks should revert back to normalcy within two years as the GOP retake the House and then watch the Senate go back again.

you predicted that Trump would win , Biden couldn't get 82million votes, senate would be held by the GOP,

what makes you think your prediction will be right in 2022. and after the capital riots today that Trump would be legitimate in 2024, thatll he survive the mountain of litigation awaiting him

glad youre not my broker.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

That’s exactly, I’m not a fan of either party but Dems thinking that it’s going to be a smooth sail and no political consequence for rubber stamping everything just won’t fly for very long.

youd think that for Trumps 1st 2 year he would of learned also. basically hes flipped the entire government to the Dems in his last 3yrs. lol

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Well Loeffler changed her tune. Full of fiery patriotism yesterday. Today she has given up with her objections.

Maybe she does know shame.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

That’s exactly, I’m not a fan of either party but Dems thinking that it’s going to be a smooth sail and no political consequence for rubber stamping everything just won’t fly for very long.

Don't be silly. There isn't a Democrat in either house who believes that.
