I had a middle-aged student in Osaka in 1978. He remembered the visit quite well and was very favorably impressed at the time.

Mission accomplished.

“The war for talent is only getting more competitive. People have to want to work and stay with you. So we have to provide an environment where each party in the relationship gives their best: The individual gives their best for the company, and the company gives their best to the individual.”

“People have to want to work ...”

Critical point. Pay. If potential staff can collect $300 per week ($7.50 per hour for a 40-hour week) from extended unemployment from the government, SS will have to raise their pay. Is SS ready for that?

We and other observers of right-wing groups expect that extremists will come to see the events of Jan 6 as just the opening skirmish in a modern civil war.

The big change came MANY years ago. Back then you had to supply your own potato. Russets, Reds, ... Heck, you could use a yam or go ultra trans and use an apple.

I remember it well. I was sitting in the Redwood City engineering office when a co-worker walked in and said “The spaceship blew up!” It took a second to figure out “spaceship”, but that was followed by a sickening feeling in my, and our, guts.

Not an imminent threat. They have to finish off the Tibetans, Uighurs and other less visible (to the West) minorities first.

The Biden Administration needs a top-notch trouble-shooter with intimate knowledge of the Chinese yet someone who has the ear and confidence of the president. That man is none other than Hunter Biden! (Better now?)

Yes, yes, yes.

Return to the good old days of summer when the attempted invasion of federal buildings, sacking of police stations, destruction of minority owned businesses and good, clean mayhem on the streets of Minneapolis, Seattle, Portland, Philly and Kenosha were merely the work of over enthusiastic social justice warriors. Yes, indeed.

For all intensive purposes they are women.

That’s usually “for all intents and purposes” unless you have some “intensive purpose” in mind.

One danger of changing the gender of record is the possibility of certain medical conditions or dangers being overlooked. Transmen usual have vaginas and some mammary tissue. Would they unfailingly receive information regarding vaginal and breast cancer? They may be considered men but die as women.

The writer of the article implies there are only two genders in Japan, male and female, when all of those people freed from such a narrow concept by Science know there are more than 2 genders so shouldn’t pangender folks, for one instance, be included in the Japanese government?

Vaccine aside, there are many, many fewer cases in Japan than many other countries. The number of deaths is also extraordinarily low. And since Japan seems to only be on a semi-lockdown, my family and I are better off here than elsewhere.
