@Ah-so

no one is suggesting that the vaccine be coercively administered.But why do you need this information to answer the question? There is no obvious connection, as far as I can see.

Denial of participation in civil life is a form of coercion and I am sure will be legally challenged.

But if you need an answer, the question I think would be no - vaccines have to be authorised by the government and occasionally they do have side-effects.

Regardless of who authorizes it someone needs to be legally liable for death or injury. If a new model car is faulty and this results in fatal accidents then the maker is held responsible. Why not with this vaccine?

Posted in: Vaccination passport for traveling: What's your stance? See in context

No. I think you should definitely not get the vaccine, and therefore not get the passport, and not travel anymore. It's the only way to keep (the rest of us) safe (from you).

That would be a denial of our human rights on two fronts:

Denial of participation in normal civic activities (air flight)

Coercive administration of potentially dangerous medical procedure

If you are afraid of a virus then maybe you are the one who should not travel. Don't deny our right because of your fear.

Before I answer the question, I need an answer to this question.

Will vaccine providers be legally liable for death or injury from (especially coercively administered) vaccines?

Poor kids, becoming increasingly confused by activist groups and companies who claim they care about them but don't.

Time to vote on these issues with our wallets.

PS: Why isn't the article titled 'Outrage as Mr Potato Head goes gender neutral'? There's no doubt that there are plenty of upset parents out there and that is the real news here.

@TheDalaiLamasBifocals

I hope there will be punitive measures for people who refuse the vaccine without a valid medical reason.

Does that mean that you, the government and pharma companies will also be willing to accept punitive measures for those you pressured to take the vaccines and who suffer vaccine injury or death as a result?

Another lockdown of a state of 227,444 km² because of 13 known cases. 1 case per 17,500 km². Insanity.

The poor Aussies are facing a perpetual cycle of opening up and locking down because it is impossible to completely eradicate viruses. Not even the vaccination manufacturers project 100% immunity, nor efficacy against mutations.

Put in strong protections for the elderly and vulnerable but let everyone else live their lives.

Posted in: Tennessee governor: Transgender athletes will 'destroy women's sports' See in context

I think we have to dig a lot deeper here. The activists pushing this are a very small but very vocal and aggressive minority. So, how do they get thier way, manage to sway politicians and get dissenters cancelled?......With the help of big tech and the media (owned and controlled by a handful of companies) who air the activist's views and do the cancelling. That's how. Everyone is afraid on these people.

So, despite the protests of the vast majority of women and girls, feminists and the rest of society, these few very powerful people will win out. That's discriminatory towards women and girls and undemocratic.

He's right. I's only fair to the girls to restrict competitive sports to biological gender.

Transgenders who wish to compete can have thier own category.

That would mean you will vaccinate...

@Virus Rex

The original scientific consensus was that thalidomide was safe, but we know how that turned out.

But what changed that was evidence

This is the problem. The evidence (deformed children) came out AFTER the 'consensus' of safety. Thus many are rightfully wary of the new Covid vaccines.

Besides, vaccine injury is a universally recognized occurrence (evidence of danger) thus the warning labels attached. Therefore, where there is known risk, people have the human right to refuse. You have no right to be demeaning or ridiculing them in any way.

-2 ( +4 / -6 )

Posted in: Facebook steps up vaccine misinfo efforts. Will it work? See in context

@Virus Rex

You are aware that scientific 'consensus' has room for dissent in some cases.

Eg: No scientist anywhere disputes the existence of gravity because it is an incontrovertible fact of nature.

However scientists disagree with each other on many other issues that are not clear cut, such as vaccine safety and efficacy.

The original scientific consensus was that thalidomide was safe, but we know how that turned out.

Scientific and medical consensus has sometimes been totally or partially wrong because 1: they are human and 2: they are subject to the profit motive.

You ought to respect those who take this into consideration on topics such as vaccine safety and efficacy.

Posted in: Facebook steps up vaccine misinfo efforts. Will it work? See in context

@Raw Beer

Exactly, the more they focus on and exaggerate the effects of the disease; ignore or downplay effective treatments; ignore and downplay the adverse side effects of the vaccines; the more people will avoid taking the vaccine.

Until I see an open and honest discussion of this, I certainly will not take it. What FB is doing certainly is not helpful and more people are seeing this. And more people are ditching FB.

Well said.

Posted in: Facebook steps up vaccine misinfo efforts. Will it work? See in context

The question is which medical experts should we listen to? The media, big tech, big pharma sanctioned ones, or the many who are expressing reservations about the new Covid vaccines?

In the end, it's a free world with bodily autonomy a human right. So let every person make thier own decision without judgement from others.
