I will never buy a Nissan or Olympus product after what happened to their former CEOs.

Won't happen. If Japanese companies published a P&L and a balance sheet based on truth, they would all be dissolved within a week.

I would be interested to know more about this man so we can avoid this event in the future. What was his motive? What is his background?

I sometimes use Internet cafes if I miss the last train. You would not believe the level of weird Japanese males you see in them. "Socially retarded" doesn't come even close.

Japanese zoos are horrendous places for the animals. They are built purely for the Japanese people visiting.

I went to an Internet cafe the other day. They stopped selling alcohol due to Covid, but you can bring in your own alcohol. Japan, the land that logic forgot!

Posted in: Apple faces employee resistance in office return plan: report See in context

People would rather mess around at home than go to the office, hardly breaking news. "Working from home" = "slacking off" for 99.9% of people. The virus is just a convenient excuse for most of them.

Posted in: Rebuking someone to the point of letting them break down is power harassment. I filed this suit to let it widely be known to society how much such language and actions hurt people, as I think my husband is not the only victim. See in context

I have a power harassing pr*ck of a boss here. The other day I walked out of a meeting we were having due to his condescending tone and attitude. He freaked out, worried that I was going to tell upper management. Been all good-goody to me since then. These people are bullies who crumble when someone stands up to them. The problem in Japan is the education system indoctrinates you to never speak up.

Japan is puny, small fry to Russia. If the Japanese think anything otherwise, they are deluding themselves.

So many people in Japan go through life without getting punched in the face for doing stuff like this. Japanese society enables such freaks.

He only got the job because it's his "turn". I hope he loses the election, but I know all too well that most Japanese people are stupid and will vote for the LDP.

Posted in: Foreign business chambers urge Japan to speed up vaccine rollout See in context

This is interesting, I think business pressure from outside might actually light a fire under their behinds.

I'm guessing you haven't lived in Japan very long. Any pressure from outside will just make the Japanese dig their heels in harder. Look at whaling, parental abduction, and a whole host of other issues.

Posted in: Girl's death in Hokkaido prompts probe into alleged bullying See in context

Japan is going backward in so many ways if you have children here the best thing you can do for them is to educate them in a real first world Country...

Agree 100%. I would never raise kids in Japan. I want them to be able to think for themselves, plus enjoy life as a teenager; two things not possible in Japan.

Posted in: Girl's death in Hokkaido prompts probe into alleged bullying See in context

Bullying is endemic in Japanese culture. It's the main reason why the whole senpai/kohai dynamic still exists in 2021. It will never be eradicated in Japan. It would be akin to outlawing hugging or something similar back home.

Because wages are so crap in Japan, responsible people stop having kids. Irresponsible people have kids even when earning only ¥5m per year or even less.

Posted in: Japan's job availability ratio in FY2020 sees largest decline in 46 years See in context

Japan doesn’t have a labor shortage. What is does have is a lack of secure jobs that pay a living wage. Raise wages and watch the applicants raise their hands. Wages are pitiful for most jobs here, hence employers not being able to recruit and retain quality people.
