I agree with Kohaku.

Why not put in short simple recipes for real food and meals? Or how to make something nice from leftover rice? Or something like that?

Vinke:

Good for you. I wish I had the courage. Just going to the supermarket is an ordeal that I don't enjoy. I hope that everything is fine and hope you can get a refund if the events get cancelled. Have a great three events.

Posted in: Tokyo gov't begins COVID-19 vaccinations for Olympic workers, media See in context

Koike missed the opportunity to become the first female PM. Three weeks ago she should have taken the mic off Suga, cancelled the Olympics, issued vacc coupons to everyone in Tokyo and ordered mass inoculations to have started there some time before yesterday!

That would have been impressive and would have got the Elvis seal of approval.

What a weird quote. And the explanation makes it even weirder. How can a desk express respect and courteousness?

I can hear tomorrow's quote of the day: "how have people reacted to your desk during online meetings since the pandemic started?"

Posted in: Why doesn't Father's Day carry the same importance as Mother's Day? Or does it? See in context

As children my parents forbade Mother and Father's Day because they have no real meaning. Just more made-up commercialisation.

BTW, they should have Gaijin Day in Japan, were people show their appreciation to the foreigner in their lives.

I'd just happy to get a coupon, then take it from there. So far, i have heard nothing at all about me getting a vaccine, a part from a few confusing news articles. And I live in Tokyo.

It's a difficult as you make it to be. It is not a lifetime commitment. Stop finding excuses. Get vaccinating.

Why not let everyone have go at getting a vaccine instead? When the 4 th wave comes in August, it will be the under 65s who get hit the worst because they aren't vaccinated.

Should have started vaccinating way back then. Things would be a lot different now.

Last week I read that the vaccines are effective against variants. Also, the rise in Britain is in the proportion of the population who have yet to be vaccinated. With lockdown being lifted, it was kind of expected. That was last weeks reafi g thought so things might have changed.

Say the same thing often enough then people might start to believe it.

Hashimoto said she believed the tide of public opinion could be turning as Japan's initially slow vaccine campaign begins to speed up.

This is a new one. Despite the general belief the vacc program is too little to late.
