Rightly so that she should be fined for not fulfilling a part of her obligations that she is getting paid for!
There are parts of my job that I don't enjoy. But I still do them, because that is what I am getting paid to do!!

That is weird. I think arresting the old lady is pretty severe.
If someone hit one of my daughters, the police would be arresting me on quite serious charges.... Because at no point does an adult have the right to hit a child!

Who cares about whether other countries are growing fruit from seeds that have been exported out of the country, when a large percentage of the population in Japan won't be getting the Covid vaccine till god knows when!
This hopeless government need to get their priorities right!!

The girls deseved their moment to shine. They were performing at army bases where other groups weren't willing to go. Sometimes, these army bases were a 12 hour drive away!

This murderer will be out in his early 40's to continue living the rest of his life....
What a joke of a 'justice system'!

It's time that Japan joined the other developed countries and recognise same sex marriage.
Two people of the same sex wishing to get married doesn't affect my marriage, nor does it affect anyone else's marriage.

Perhaps Japan just needs to get better with producing romance dramas...
Plenty of Japanese women are watching and enjoying Korean dramas. Only have to look at how much of a smash hit 'Crash Landing On You' was in Japan recently!

"In the last week of April, we will deliver at least one box to all prefectures," Kono said, in reference to a maximum 1,170 doses of vaccines."
So, just under 600 people in every prefecture will have received a vaccine by April? Tottori-ken, with a population of 570,000, must be happy. Seeing as they are the least populated prefecture in Japan, and that 1 box will go a long way!
This is even more laughable than Abe's announcement from last year that every household will receive 2 facemasks.....

I can't wait until my kids are required to do this! They are half American and Half Japanese. They have light brown hair. We will be slapping the school with a lawsuit for racial discrimination once they ask for this. If they are not asking ALL students to certify this, then that is discrimination. Already have done my research and found a good lawyer. I will be the sole person that changes this...watch...
I will join you on that! My daughter is half Japanese half white, and her natural hair colour is brown. The moment that any schools try and discriminate against her, my wife and I will give them hell on earth!

The cause of the fire was unclear, but there's a rest stop for hikers in an area where it's believed to have started.
Wouldn't surprise me if this started after a hiker threw their cigarette butt on the ground.....

Last night's quake brought back memories of 3/11 for my wife as well.
Thankfully, this time, a tsunami and high death toll didn't follow the earthquake.

I have no interest in ever taking up the option of using this BNPL scheme, as I don't believe in buying luxury goods that you can't afford at that moment in time (if ever)
The only money that I have ever borrowed and intend to ever borrow, is the mortgage loan that my wife and myself took out to purchase our family home.

Seems like he got off lightly. Never went to jail, never met the families to apologize in person even. it’s no wonder the family member above feels cheated by an apology by mail twenty years later
Waddle's trip to Japan in 2002.
"On 14 December 2002, Waddle, accompanied by Charles Gittins, traveled to Japan to apologize personally to the victims' families. On 15 December, Waddle visited the Ehime Maru memorial at Uwajima Fisheries High School and placed a wreath of white lilies before a monument to the dead, bowed in silence and then read the victims' names aloud. No local officials were present during Waddle's visit, citing statements from some victims' families that they did not want Waddle to visit. Later that day, Waddle met with some of the families of the victims and with some of the survivors. The next day, in Tokyo, Waddle met with Masumi Terata. Speaking of her meeting with Waddle, Terata stated, "I am first and foremost the family member of a victim and Mr. Waddle is first and foremost a victimizer. But when I saw Mr. Waddle as a person who was crying and apologizing, I thought he was apologizing from the heart."
Whilst it is a great shame that Waddle didn't face a more severe punishment for his actions that resulted in the deaths of 9 people. To say though that he never made the journey to Japan to apologise in person, is factually incorrect.
