AttilathehungryToday  11:12 am JST

Juneteenth was at best a very locally recognized day until very recently. Nobody know or cared about it until bout 15 minutes ago.

Gee, why was that? I don’t think this supports your argument the way you think it does.

btw, everybody now knows Juneteenth because a certain somebody decided to hold a rally in Tulsa on Juneteenth, and plenty of people think that it wasn’t an accident.

Not true. Just because I vote Republican doesn’t make me a Republican

Fair enough, I’ve never been a registered Democrat. (Republican for 20 plus years, now IND)

but hold up, you call Mitch a RINO and you’re not even republican??

yeah great day! for federal employees only.

anyone else benefit or they just go to work as usual?

I was in the Navy when Ev Mecham decided to dump the King Holiday. As a proud AZ native, it made for some pretty uncomfortable conversations in the berthing. And when I’d call home asking what the hell that crap was about, I’d get your comment as the answer.

yeah, right

Was raised in that world. Quite familiar with the dog whistles

so to celebrate the end of slavery, federal employeesare given yet another paid day off?

wonderful. this costs like 600 million dollars and does nothing for the working class.

thats the same justification Evan Mecham gave for cancelling the MLK holiday.

of course Paul Gossar and Andy Biggs voted against it. What a surprise

I’ve no issue with voter ID requirements.

have big issues with what Senator Angus King refers to here.

There are two things going on with voting rights. One is getting a lot of publicity, the other not so much. The publicity is about things like limiting absentee ballots and the early voting and all of those kinds of things,” King said.

“The other piece, though, that isn’t being talked about is, a lot of states are considering changes that the legislature could essentially overturn the results of an election in their state,” King added.

Citing Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger’s (R) refusal to buy into baseless allegations of election fraud in the 2020 presidential election, King said that he is concerned about how GOP-led legislatures would take advantage if the sweeping voting rights bill is passed without any modifications.

“I’m worried that they’re going to turn that over and say, OK, a Republican legislature can say, we think there was fraud in Fulton County, and, therefore, we’re going to certify a different set of electors,” King said. “That’s really dangerous.”

Look at a red/blue county map of Georgia and try to say with a straight face that this isn’t about taking local gerrymandering National

A lot of torn people here I think that haven't said anything yet. The same people that agrees with everything that Biden says or does also complains daily about Japan holding the Olympics. I guess saying nothing will help them keep their dignity intact.

I’ll bite.

the prez has no frigging clue what he’s talking about. The US government is unconcerned about Japan’s domestic issues so long as it’s it’s on team 7th Fleet (see state secrets law and Security Legislation)

Danny, actually what was missing was: a plan, weapons, leadership, takeover of the media, little things like that.

none of which was necessary, Attila.

they had Pence, Pelosi and Leahey all in one place. They get through the cops, whack the “traitors” and then what? No certification. Trump still prez. Obviously that state of affairs could not stand so it would probably have been sent to the House where, as certain posters repeatedly giddily explained, its one state/one vote and red outnumbers blue.

bingo, Trump still prez.

your’re giving them too little credit.

Trump/Desantis 2024

or if Trump wants to hang out backstage then

Desantis/Pompeo 2024

I would definitely go with either.

Make sure you thank that RINO from KY for the opportunity to even consider the possibility there, Bass

Got pulled for being rude, here, without rudeness, unless Mitch is one of us here.

Hearty congrats are in order for RINO Mitch.

had 2 shots, played his usual game and finally lost, bigly. Trump 2024 simply could not happen without RINO Mitch making it possible.

He always beats the dems because he knows they won't go as low as he will. Schumer, love him or hate him would never gloat about being called the grim reaper. The dems still want to think of themselves as the good guys. They can be shamed into submission. (filibuster anyone?)

RINO Mitch has learned that his game doesn’t work with one who has less shame than he does...

you’ve lost your party, Mitch. All you have to show for your career of ultra-partisanship is that Trump enthusiasts get to call you a RINO.

well done

So basically, they didn’t turn anything, they defended a Democrat stronghold. That’s news?

well what’s news is that Trump is telling his people he expects to be reinstated as President in August, and that as soon as that news broke, the blog shut down.

you don’t seem very interested ? Guess that New Mexico house race is more significant, eh?

wonder how he thinks he’s gonna get reinstated? “How” meaning, by what method?

nah, too boring, let’s talk New Mexico house election...

The sad part is that there are probably three votes on the Supreme Court that would agree he could be.

I mean...

he literally CAN’T be “reinstated” as President without some form of overthrow of the government. As in he’s calling for overthrow of the government.

thats not sedition?

heard that this morning...

maybe that’s why it got shut down so abruptly?

She is hiding because she does not want to be questioned about if she thinks the Olympics should be held or not. Smart move!

Totally agree. And yeah, it is a smart move because she cannot answer that question without real world consequences. That includes “no comment” which would be seen as a cop-out by both the 80% of Japanese folks who want the Olympics cancelled and her adamantly pro-Olympics sponsors. It’s lose/lose for her. Frankly, none of her fellow pros are in the same boat, and the “it’s part of the job” argument just doesn’t hold up here.

i think it’s worth getting suspended from the next major for her, if it comes to that. Also think she’d be better served by just being upfront about this being specific to her mental health rather than cloaking it in a general mental health argument that can be brushed aside as her being a spoilt brat who just doesn’t think the rules apply to her.

gee, I wonder why? Jim carville himself couldn’t have done better than that.

”We’re about the future, not re- litigating the past!”

you mean the future where you hand the country back to the guy who caused the whole thing?

sounds like a cover up to track Antifa and BLM to me.

Are you suggesting Antifa and BLM aren’t already being tracked?

its being expanded to include groups you approve of.

i can assure you, no one in Antifa thinks that the Federal government likes them.

only d__b___es who get all their info from Fox prime time political entertainment believe the dems ‘like’ BLM and Antifa

strange how this has never been the position in any other situation where an armed law enforcement person was simply feeling threatened by an UNARMED person.

Back at you. It is amazing how the folks who typically support the police question the police in situation. Maybe it's because Ashli Babbitt was a Trump supporter? Or maybe it's because she's white? hmmm...

Shingen, fear ya mighta just hit our man with one he can’t answer...

Heres an additional question, Blacklabel:

lets play make believe, shall we?

lets say Barack Hussein Obama told his folks to march on the Capital. All things being identical other than who sent the mob and who populated the mob. Lets say it’s Cori Bush or Ayana Presley going through that window while CHPD tries to fight off BLM. Is the CHPD officer still an executioner of a patriot exercising her first amendment rights?

or was it an unfortunate accident involving a cop who justifiably feared for his life?

AttilathehungryToday  09:07 am JST

Nothing wrong with finding out what happened. I would like the probe to also include the details of the killing of the only person who actually died at the Capitol that day (Ashli Babbitt).

Next probe should be into the unholy alliance of BLM and Antifa, and the 2 billion dollars plus of damage they did to American cities last year.

Well I’d have to say the first paragraph answers your question in the 2nd.

let me help. A flag draped white female lunatic gets shot raiding the House chamber through a broken window ignoring CHPD orders to halt and she’s a martyr executed for exercising her first amendment rights while a black early teen gets smoked for not dropping his candy bar fast enough but that is an unfortunate accident by a cop justifiably fearing for his life.

ya wanna know why BLM and Antifa associate? There’s your answer

this is just more window dressing of the fear the left has that Trump might run again. Had they achieved their goal earlier this year to impeach Trump and convict Trump, the Dems would never take this route, but they missed...

They didn’t miss anything Bass. RINO Mitch blew it up. You know that.

What were McConnell’s thoughts on the 9 Benghazi investigations that they admitted were purely political hit jobs? McConnell the hypocrite is ruining America.

RINO Mitch is no more a republican than Crazy Nancy or Shifty Schiff or fartman Swallywell. He is a RINO too cowardly to support the greatest president since Lincoln.

Right Bass?

yep that Michael Cohen. the convicted felon one who cant wait to make up some new stories to write a new book.

You left out the “Donald Trump’s personal attorney” part. As in he went to jail for doing his employer’s bidding while employer gets a pass because said employer already faced accountability via his jailed attorney? Or so goes your sides argument

such excitement here! the last time it was a similar topic- Michael Cohen and Michael Avenatti ended up in jail and Stormy Daniels was making a settlement, paying Donald Trump's lawyers money.

You mean this Michael Cohen, Blacklabel?

Dickerson and Cooksey wrote in a statement that they felt Cohen had already been punished criminally and the matter was “not the best use of agency resources.”

“The public record is complete with respect to the conduct at issue in these complaints, and Mr. Cohen has been punished by the government of the United States for the conduct at issue in these matters,” they said.

Something tells me he might be a bit salty about this. You know, the Repubs on the FEC deciding Trump is cool because he already went to jail for it

Trump was toast: twice. He was bailed out: twice. Primarily by a guy named McConnell who Trump, and you, now refer to as a RINO (not rhino)

I call them Rhinos because essentially that’s what these people are. But no, he doesn’t have anything to worry about.

nothing about RINO Mitch?

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t like Mitch, at all. But his sole purpose of existence is the preservation and expansion of republican power. There is simply no more “republican” human being in the US than Mitch.

But...

though the god king owes his throne to Mitch, he deems Mitch as insufficiently loyal and demands that his loyal flock refer to the most republican of republicans as a RINO.

No embarrassment? Really?

you’ll understand our confusion if for example, Tucker Carlson suddenly flips wokeist lefty and starts screaming about what a capitalist pig Bernie is, and we say “hell yeah, Tucker! Down with corporate Bernie!”

The Maricopa County Republican who leads the Arizona county's elections department slammed former President Trump on Saturday, calling his comments on its 2020 election audit “unhinged.”

“Wow. This is unhinged. I’m literally looking at our voter registration database on my other screen. Right now. We can’t indulge these insane lies any longer. As a party. As a state. As a country. This is as readily falsifiable as 2+2=5. If we don’t call this out…” Maricopa County Recorded Stephen Richer wrote on Twitter.

The database he’s referring to, Basslabel, is the Maricopa County voter registration list, that your ever-so-truthful god king tweeted to his “78 million” had been deleted by evil democrats and never Trumpters in the biggerestest fraud of FEREVER!

You are correct Blacklabel, she has no chance of changing the National Populist party. You all have sold your souls to an outright autocrat who promises to maintain through authoritarian means what cannot be maintained via the ballot box. We get that. The democratic process has served its purpose, now it’s time to install permanent minority rule. We get that, too. Red state legislatures are working tirelessly to make sure that your god king can get away with it in 2024.
