Thanks for the info.
It is the underlying conditions I am worried about in case something happens while there and not being insured there.

Will the committee start out by getting flip phones and turning off their Fax machines and disconnecting their land lines?
Oh my, the stress is coming.

@Zoroto, we are thinking the same. Have a place to stay? We have family there, but no health insurance in the states. And with some serious underlying conditions, might not be a good idea for us to go.
Any good international travel health insurance suggestions?

If you fly to another country for the shot, and if it is not J and J, then you are going to have to spend a long time there. 2 weeks quarantine, get a shot, wait a month for another shot, get back to Japan and still be quarantined to the tune of at least 2 weeks. Bucks will start to add up for sure.

How many beds in total are there actually? 50? 100?

Test runs of the ropeway are currently underway in the mountain city of Odawara in Kanagawa prefecture.
Odawara city proper is quaint and on Sagami Bay. It is not a mountain city at all.

Not true. If you look at full articles rather than the one posted here you will see different and more expanded information, even though much of the text is the same and photos as well. Here are some parts left out.
Japan, Germany and some other rich countries face the same challenge of supporting aging populations with fewer workers. But they can draw on decades of investment in factories, technology and foreign assets.
China is a middle-income country with labor-intensive farming and manufacturing.

Out of 1144 total Unesco sites, Japan has 23. Why do some of you want Unesco to turn the whole country into one big UNESCO site? That would be very unfair.

American LipBalm is also considered a very very bad drug. Same penalties. US Military and SOFA status civilian workers are told never ever to bring it.

We visited recently on one of our Support Japanese Mom's and Pop's tour trips. The Shika Senbei are junk. There are much better things you can bring along to help these dear as the roughage is so worn out and chewed down and the deer are not in good shape.
Read up on deer before you go to feed them and designate one carry on luggage case specifically for deer esa/food.

It is a beautiful rabbit and deserves to be protected.
There are currently 23 World Heritage sites in Japan including cultural properties.
The other 1121 Unesco sites can be viewed below by kind and numbers.
So, if those that think Japan has way too many sites, please investigate before posting. There are many more all over the world. Japan is just a drop in the bucket.
This is a good link for you to study. We find it fascinating.

All major world powers eventually lost power and those they conquered eventually moved to the mother country. China's turn is next.
In scientific terms it is called Entropy.

In an effort to secure telephone lines for emergency calls even when calls to make a reservation flood the lines, major Japanese telecom companies have imposed a temporary restriction on the number of incoming calls to local governments accepting reservations.
Does this mean there is a designated line for calling to make reservations, and another designated line to call the ward office for emergencies?
What kind of emergencies? One of those emergencies like when grandpa went out for a walk, got lost and has not come home yet and was wearing his pajamas and since it is raining and cold outside if you see him contact the emergency number at the shiyakusho?
I thought every old person was to get a post card and had no need to call?

International Olympic Committee (IOC) has the final say
I thought the dinosaurs of the LDP ran this country for themselves and not for the people.
If the IOC has all this power, why not order the Japanese military to do some marching?

Side jobs at 7-11 or other such places are not going to improve your hiring future.

I like wearing a mask, and I like it even more that other people wear masks. And not from worries over covid, I like the anonyminity of not just myself, but being able to ignore others. It brings a whole new level of privacy to being in public. I shall continue to wear a mask after the pandemic is over. Mom

As of 2019, the maximum annual payment is limited to ¥780,100 (approximately ¥65,000 per month), which assumes that you have contributed to the system for the full 40 years (Japan Pension Service).
But it appears my comment is gone because it has nothing to do with wages and income according to some jealous person overseeing our concerns and definitely on topic.
