I got maybe 70% of what I made last year.

Investments are nice but I don't really count on it as it comes and goes. If any crash will happen then the game will be over.

Even blind can see that the government save stock market.

Regular citizens get nothing.

The effect is: stock market skyrockets, what they don't understand that people can see this and they don't want to work anymore or slack around at work.

This all printing will cause huge problems in the future.

It is same with everything in Japan. Even book off will give you 10yen max for a good, almost brand new book, and resell it for 700 yen or more.

Problem is much deeper. It's not actually only stepfather or stepbrothers but very often brother or father.

Same with mother and son, that happens very often as well.

You guys are too focus on money which is insignificant. It became insignificant from the beginning of this pandemic. We are heading to new economic system.

What is very important is the vaccine. Soon we will all get corona shot and transition to the new better world will become possible. Hold till then!

Wait patiently for your turn of corona shot.

Merry Christmas!

Ok, let me show you the bigger picture.

The government is not doing GO TO EAT or TRAVEL just to keep afloat businesses. We are doing it to keep the INDUSTRY alive. You have to understand that if you kill the Food and Service Industry there won't be anyone who will do it in the future.

People who will lose jobs in the Food and Beverage will most likely never return as they will find it unstable. There will be a labor shortage again and low immigration will push the prices up. We will end up with fewer restaurants and even higher prices.

Not to mention that some of that 1DK that many young people live in don't have a proper kitchen and rely on local restaurants. Same with hotels, ryokans etc.

The same thing happened with the farming industry (agriculture). We don't have hands to work, we bring trainees to Japan from Vietnam and China that works almost for free. Japanese Food Self Sufficiency stands at 40%, compared to almost 80% in 1960.

Now if something happens and we won't be able to import food from overseas you will see people fighting for food.

It's going to get worse as global warming will cause serious problems to crops. Why do you think NY stock exchange suddenly listed WATER as a commodity to trade next to gold and oil?

I'm expecting food prices to rise within the next 5 years. Mark my words.

Not surprised at all. I'm curious what people who are calling for a second lockdown or more restriction will say now.

Stick your noses from your schools and offices and face the people who will lose or lost their only source of income.

I know, as long as You have your job it's all fine, we don't need to think about the service industry.

Corona or not I always try to support local restaurants and businesses.

One bubble after another.

Thousand or millions unemployed or with no money to survive.

At the end those with practical skills will survive.

Instagramers and Youtubers will have hard time.

Soon after everything collapse.

Mark my words.

Posted in: COVID-19 forces closure of Tokyo neighborhood ramen joint See in context

Nonsense, nothing last forever. Times of ramen are long gone as well as sushi. Only big and creative will survive.

It should be like that with every business. I'm tired of listening to the stories of bailing out big companies just because they are old but not profitable. That's not how economy should work.

@KnowBetter

Don't forget about number to D. Trump as well. He doesn't believe in any climate change, pretty much the same story as with the virus.

Besides he withdraw the US from Paris agreement as well.

People don't realise but by 2050 or 2100 the equator will be so hot that it will be impossible to live. Typhoons, storms and so on will be more often and stronger.

Tokyo will be most likely all under the water. Shoreline will be in Chichibu. Good luck fellows.

@1glenn

Maybe that would be the case in different reality.

I'm not sure if you know but recently Bank of Japan became the biggest stock holder of Japanese stocks.

The Bank of Japan has taken over as the biggest owner of the nation’s stocks, with the total value of its holdings climbing well above $400 billion.

Don't walk, run.

Protect your savings.

Nikkei225.

Looks like double top for me.

30 years ago it was a real estate and stock bubble.

Now, demographics are bad, low immigration, corona, you can't build on that.

Double top will end up with 70% sell of to the level of 10 500 around.

Be ready.
