Why are you assuming it would be the women staying home?

If you would understand how the japanese society is working, that would know why.

Posted in: Japan has entered 4th wave of COVID-19 infections, says gov't panel chief See in context

The Osaka governor said his government is considering requesting schools to switch to online lectures

@Aly

That's an excellent idea

Basically I also agree to that, as long as all the women who can not go to work, because they have to stay home and take care of their kids get paid.

If my wife has to stay home and take care of our kid for 1 or 2 months without pay is a very big crack in our income and that can bring up already some bill payment problems.

What do you Guys expect?

That after the vaccine the Virus will dissapear?

I always hear that even you got the vaccine, you can get infected and you can still spread the virus.

That means that the virus will be always around. Probably forever.

Do you think the numbers of new cases will ever go under 10 or even under 100 after the vaccine?

Forget it! The numbers will always be in the hundreds.

Do you know when the numbers are down or better say when the virus is under control:

When the media stops their fearmongering reports.

Then it is over!

There are many other deadly deseases with many new cases every day, but nobody reports about that.

So nobody cares about other diseases, because the media dont report fearmongering stuff about other diseases.

Look at all these idiots!

No masks, no social distance!

Thinking because 15% of all adults got the 2nd Dose makes them all immune against the Virus in a country that was hit one of the hardest in the world.

I thought that even you are vaccined you can get the virus and can spread it.

I mean if 15% with a second dose is enough to go back to a life like in the picture, than I think at the end of this year the whole world will be back to normal.

*He's in love with a hostess.** How did he become a Doctor?*

This is one of the biggest nonsense I ever heard!

Is it not allowed for a doctor to fall in Love with a hostess?

So before you graduate as a doctor you have to exposure to whom you felt in Love?

Before Corona I was regular guest at a hostess bar.

As long as you understand that everything in such places is just business, you are fine.

You pay, and you will have a nice time.

And, yes you are right, a influenza vaccine is about 50% effective, BUT there is no 97% effective vaccine for influenza available.

Of course I would not take a 50% influenza vaccine, if a 97% woud be also available.

In case of the topic here, why should I take a 52% vaccine, when on the same time a 97% is available?

I said, For me a 50% effective is nothing, compare to another available one with 97%.

Everything I said is related to the 97% available Vaccine.

@Ricky

Up Up Up and away!

Can it be that you are a little bit confused about today's numbers?

Test amounts are higher than yesterday, and cases are lower than yesterday.

down 149 from Saturday.

*People who are hospitalized with severe symptoms nationwide are about 520. (Numbers will be updated later)*

520 among a population of 124.000.000

There is nothing more to say for today!

@P.Smith

Exactly

If people think 50.4% is enough protection for a new Vaccine made in China, even there is another one with 97% effectiveness...then Yep, everyone is free to take it.

@P.Smith

You may want re-read the article to find the error in this comment.

What do you mean?

The article says, as low as 50.4%

Compare to Pfitzer with 97%!

50.4% for a new Vaccine?

And from China?

No thank you!

You are free to go ahead and take this vaccine!

I prefer no vaccine in my body, than something trash that doesnt really protect.

The Japanese population has managed to make it up until now without a big disaster thanks to their efforts

I am very surprised to hear that from you!

That is completely contraire what you normaly say. Normaly you always complain that the japanese population dont follow any rules, they dont perform social distance...and so on.

I am really surprised to hear you say, thanks to their efforts.

But it is nice to hear you say that, I am just wondering what changed your mind?

37 cases with severe symptoms in the whole city.

That's like 2 or 3 per ward.

Is this a "pandemic" ??????

At least one person who understand the situation.

@Hillclimber

I 100% agree.

Anyway I am wondering how he knows that this thing never turn red?

Maybe he stands beside this temp measure thing 12 hours a day, day in day out and watch the people standing in front.

The doomsayers think if the machine doesn't show red, the machine is manipulated.

They never think that people are responsible and do NOT go out when they have a fever.

Before Corona, many japanese people went to work evenwith a fever, but now no more.

People are showing responsibility these days, because of Corona.

But Doomsayers will never believe that.

cheap temp guns which never seem to turn red for anyone

Do you understand that this things turn red if people have fever ONLY?

Do you understand that if the thing is NOT turning red, the guy in front DO NOT have a fever?

Or do think that people who are going out and stand in front of that thing must have a fever?

Sometimes I am really surprised about some posts here.

Obviously this is just an excuse and the real reasons are more political than health related

I agree!

But unfortunately that is sad.

The athletes want to show their skills to the world.

Especially nobody knows much about Sports in North Korea, so for the North Korean athletes the olympics would be a good chance to show their sports and skills to the world.

Politics and Sports should be separate.

But P. Smith,

Look around you...do you see people falling to death like flies?

Did you see millions of people running to hospitals?

You can live an almost normal life here in Japan, right?

You also can go to work every day and earn money, right?

I didnt say that Japan is perfect, but what I really dont understand is, that many people here are nonstop complaining about Japan, even they can live an almost normal life here.

People should be happy about that.

If they dont want to live an almost normal life, they should leave Japan and move to a country with strickt lockdowns and where people are falling more and more into depression.

Because those people will be probably more happy and satisfy there than here.

I am happy to live in Japan, where I can live an almost normal life.

Of course I am not stupid, I know the risk, but I do my best personal prevention to keep that risk low as possible.

But I say it again, I am very happy to live in Japan, because I can live an almost normal life here, even we are in a pandemic.

How many Japanese on this packed train weren’t wearing mask or weren’t wearing them correctly?

All Japanese wear a mask and wear them propably. ALL!

But to give you credit, I saw a japanese guy in front of 7~11 talking on the phone without mask.

@P.Smith

I haven’t seen any non-Japanese without masks.

I dont know where you are living and where you are going out, but I see them every day on my way to work. Also yesterday morning in the full packed train, one foreign guy without mask. Probably late 20s.

And if you follow last days posts here at JT, I am not the only one who see them.

But yes, you are correct, Japanese people too.

But what I dont see are Corona waves. Fourth wave?

Where was the second and third wave?

The mask thing here I dont understand.

What should the customers do during eating and drinking?

I guess Mask off, right?

And then after one zip of drink or one chop of food, mask on again?

Next zip of drink, next chop of food mask off again?

After that, Mask on again...and so on?

Who will do that?

In Restaurants, where you order one dish and one drink, I understand during eating and drinking time mask off, then during talking time mask on.

But in Bars and Izakayas, where you order constantly small dishes and drinks, how should that work?
