Outlaw dispatch. 44% of workers in Japan are now dispatch. The neoliberal policies of deregulation and low wages have fostered a shift in wealth to the top 1%. Homelessness, welfare. Raise the minimum wage.

These workers interviewed are super well off compared to the dispatch and minimum wage workers.

Kuroda is blowing a huge bubble with stocks. I really don’t understand it. BOJ is now the largest holder of stocks AND bonds in Japan.

Japan has been stuck in low wages and benefits for decades with its neoliberal policies.

For those of us living under the flight path of the new Haneda route, this is alarming.

This is also my concern. The government has no accountability to the people at all and has proven it at every turn.

What is the effect on L1 if some classes are actually taught in English. Will the students miss essential vocabulary in L1? Japan produces a lot of false beginner English speakers and maybe 1 or 2 talented students per class that can actually speak English.

I took the TOEIC to experience what it was like. I was massively hungover and left the test early. I got a 985. Also, an ambulance went by during one of the audio questions. Pretty sure I missed that one.

If the Japanese government can pull off 1,000,000/day , this will still take until the end of the year to get both jabs out.

seriously, what will they be doing until April? There are over 2,000,000 doctors and nurses, and how many paramedics and care givers. How many medical personnel are they planning to vaccinate before April?

Did Mori unilaterally pick his successor and then do a press release announcing Kawabuchi? I thought this was a done deal based on all the articles. It was picked up worldwide.

I think rather, Suga et al. signed off on it and only changed their minds do to the huge outcry. So, really it demonstrates a total lack of leadership in the upper ranks of the LDP. They have a death grip. Suga is no leader.

The number of infected people hospitalized with severe symptoms in Tokyo is 104, unchanged from Monday, health officials said. The nationwide figure is 773.

This boggles the mind. How is it possible that there are only 104 severe cases hospitalized in Tokyo? And, people are being turned away in ambulances. Koike had a year to prepare emergency beds.

Has any testing been done as to Covid variant prevalent in Japan now? If the England version became prevalent it might indicate a higher infection rate than is being measured.
