Invest in commodities, we are at the start of a commodity super cycle and you need some protection from the risk of rapid inflation this kind of cash infusion creates.

I demand that Jennifer Coyle be fired and a person of Japanese ancestry be hired or Hollywood is racist!

I am actually surprised that it was not banned in the US for depicting Asians in stereotypical ways.

These three famous people: Suzanne Pleshette, David Ogden Stiers, and John Ratzenberger were all hired and paid to do voices in "Spirited Away." A quick scan of the actors paid to do the English voices in "Spirited Away" reveals not a single person with a Japanese name or who looks Japanese.
For the upcoming Miyazaki animation "How Do You Live?" it is of vital importance that only people of Japanese ancestry be hired to do the English Voices!
According to IMBD most of the sound crew who worked on "37 Seconds" have Korean names. Outrageous! Only Japanese people can edit the voices of Japanese actors.
I saw a white person eating sushi! Call the PC police!

Japan already has "carbon pricing" if you include the taxes on fuel and the tax on car's engines. Both of these taxes are designed to discourage fossil fuel consumption.
Japan will reduce CO2 emissions organically with a falling population so there is little to gain from taxing folks more than they already pay on fossil fuels.

Just get rid of "woman's" sports and put all athletes head-to-head.

By September, travel from Japan to Florida and from Florida to Japan will not have any more risk to the local population than travelling from Tokyo to Oita.

After the fall, when 80% of the people in G7 countries have been vaccinated, travel between G7 countries should return to "wide open" and these travel controls will be meaningless.

Numbers are dropping dramatically everywhere in the world and the medical industry really can't say why.
Not enough people have been vaccinated to explain the drop off in cases worldwide. It could be as simple as we are running out of vulnerable people to catch it.

@itsonlyrocknroll Germany will act in its self interest as well. Germany is better off doing direct business with Russia and cutting off Ukraine.

@PTownsend Are you under the impression that there is a food shortage in Russia? Russia is one of the largest exporters of grains in the world and the supermarkets are brimming with more food than ever in history.

An "America Last" policy is good news for the rest of the world.

Kinda of a relief reading the comments here. Social media is foul with what seems like half of America laughing at the people in Texas suffering a natural disaster that has caused cascading power and water outages for millions of folks. That kind of mean spiritness would not happen in Japan.

Probably would be helpful if Canada's Trudeau didn't take a bunch of vaccines from Covax. Canada has slipped into third world status and had to get vaccines from the UN.

Japan will be pretty much done with the pandemic by the time vaccines have any impact in Japan. Japan managed it better than just about any other country.

Canada has ordered something like a billion vaccine doses but so far is failing to administer many as vaccine shipments have been drastically cut. Even socialist Biden is not sharing.

She probably lost her job at the start up because tech is getting the heck out of high tax California as fast as they can. Texas, Tennessee and South Carolina are doing great though.

@Strangerland Everyone in Canada is outraged. I think Canada ranks somewhere around 33rd in vaccines administered per 100 people. The US is around 11% of people vaccinated while just across the snowy border Canada is around 2.7%.
Instead of investing in the vaccine being developed across the border in the US, Trudeau put money into a Chinese vaccine only to have China pull the rug out from under that genious plan.
Trudeau may have succeeded in "trolling the extreme for right" but failed Canada's citizens in getting vaccines.

Putin is more popular domestically than the west is willing to recognize. The average 24 oz. Sergei and Olga have a vastly better standard of living than Russians has 20 years ago or 10 years ago. First the first time ever there is actually a chicken in every pot.
