What in the donkey is going on? If you had a problem with your wife, surely that wasn't the best plan to handle that situation! Counceling, talking, going on a vacation, date night, ect. These are some options to clear some things up!

The court decided to give her a suspended sentence after she admitted her guilt and expressed remorse.

So what I gathered from this case and justice system is if I commit a crime and "admit guilt and show remorse", I can get away with it! Dually noted!

This is why when my 6year old goes outside to play, I tell him to stay in a specific area so I can see him at all times from inside. He knows not to leave the side of the house.

Arakawa’s lawyer told the court his client was drunk at the time of the incident and that he did not mean to injure the other man.

In other words : "I didn't mean to poke an extremely vital and sensitive part of your body with a sharp/pointed object and I surely wasn't hoping to cause injury!"

A police officer was patrolling the area when the fire started.

I imagined the officer was like "Do de do de do de do! Huh! Hey!"

Also, if he was angry, there are so many other ways to vent your anger! Talk to someone about your anger issue. Write it down! Go for a walk! Go jogging, cycling or even a swim! No need to endanger the wildlife and nature!

Watanabe has admitted to the charge and quoted him as saying, “Ogiwara came to my room and complained that my footsteps were too loud. We argued and I grabbed a knife and stabbed him.”

OR....what you could've done was acknowledge his claim and either carpet your home, wear socks or simply try to walk quiter! Either choice, Ogiwara would've still been alive!

Oh, wait, you studied online and listened to someone who also is a "doctor"? Oh....well that makes everything a lot better! You're free to go!

What a stupid reason to put other people's lives at risk! Its like me saying "I looked at many pictures of trains and I heard someone say the train is coming, so I became a train driver!"

Katamine told them he strangled his wife with a towel, but gave no motive. He was quoted as saying he doesn’t know why he did it.

Of course I in no way condone hitting your wife, but we all know bowing/"tears/camera time is in store and all will be done and done with! This is Japan! Where spousal abuse isn't takes as seriouisly as it should be. These mouth-breathers should be strung up by one butt cheek for 34 years.

The Saitama District Court on Tuesday sentenced a 36-year-old man to 17 years in prison for killing his 23-year-old former girlfriend last September.

Bro, if you aren't the pinacle of a selfish man-child, I don't know what else is. She probably wanted to break it off because she was young and wanted to be free from the burdens of relationships. (we've all been there) and you killed her for wanting to live while young? Off to the rat infested prison in a sewer with you.

Burning Bush

Despite all the arguments for gender equality, I don’t think it’s appropriate for men to be babysitting girls.

Women should be allowed to babysit anybody.

We have a 3mo. old baby girl and I am a man! Are you implying that it is inappropriate for me to watch my daughter, bathe my daughter or change her nappies whilst my wife is out? I've babysat children from age 2 and upwards when I was younger, even here in Japan and INCLUDING baby girls and their parents would trust their daughters/sons/babies lives in my hands. So please take your negative remarks elsewhere.

The parents of these students should start a petition for the male teachers to wear bras (white ones only) and the female teachers to wear construction gloves and old boxer underwears as part of their uniform. Then they'd understand that it's not their place to choose what underwear a student (a child) wears. I don't give a rats what you wear to school as lond as its not distracting and can put yourself in harms way, as long as you're learning. What sickos, man!

What an astounding idea! I absolutely love this idea of placing a phone for people to talk with their lost ones. It beings some kind of closure to them and gives them a chance to get their personal thoughts and feelings out. So sad to read this though! Just looking at the pic of Sakai-san crying says SOOO much.

Police said Maru told them her husband used to beat her and never give her any money and that her hatred for him and been building up over many years.

Maru was quoted by police as saying she had hated her husband for years.

Its sad that it came to that! She could've just divorced him, but the whole idea in Japan of "keeping up appearances" as in pretending all is lovely on this side of the fence and the abuse/fear of her husband if she had left him couyld've prevented her from leaving. But it shouldn't have come to that!

Why leave your doors unlocked?

Don't try to blame the victim! There are many different scenarios which could have taken place which may have lead to her forgetting to lock her door/window or perhaps thinking she locking it but not really locking it. I do it sometimes. We all have left our doors open at somepoint because either we forgot or just think nothiing of it. But don't try to blame the victim.
